APRA Europe initiated the Ambassador programme as part of our localization strategy. It will help us improve our services and reach out to the smaller, local businesses around Europe. Our Ambassadors will build the bridge to local requirements, habits, rules and languages, in particular.

Thank you to our Ambassadors for your commitment and support!

People who are interested in becoming an Ambassador for their region and language, please contact us: info@apraeurope.org

Thomas Meyer

Head of Ambassadors,

Ambassador for the DACH region

Thomas Meyer is Head of Program Management Remanufacturing at Knorr-Bremse in Germany and works in the field of remanufacturing since 2014. At Knorr-Bremse, they are constantly expanding their portfolio of remanufactured products for the EMEA region. Before that, he worked as a Production Engineer at Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey GmbH. “Remanufacturing is a very promising industry, as it perfectly combines the environmental challenges we are facing right now with great business opportunities. Since working in this area I truly understand the importance of circular economy. That’s also why I like being dedicated to APRA: as the global organization for the remanufacturing industry it can drive change – and I want to support that.”

We welcome Thomas on board for improving our services and growing our network in the DACH region.

Previously he has been a student at Politecnico di Milano and completed his thesis on remanufacturing at the Fraunhofer Institute in Bayreuth, Germany.

He states: “For me, remanufacturing, or widely the circular economy, is more than just the sector where I work or a topic I like: it is an industrial paradigm that I believe able to conjugate the environmental benefit and economic activity; two concepts that unfortunately are often seen in antheses. I believe that for the growth of the sector it is important a strong political representation, which can be achieved through an association like APRA, which I’ve joined as Ambassador to sustain and enlarge over time.”
