ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME
APRA Europe initiated the Ambassador programme as part of our localization strategy. It will help us improve our services and reach out to the smaller, local businesses around Europe. Our Ambassadors will build the bridge to local requirements, habits, rules and languages, in particular.

Director of APRA Europe
Head of Ambassadors, Ambassador for Greece
Georgios Chatzinikolaou is responsible for Core Management at STP-Parts GmbH, a Germany based core broker. He is a graduated Engineer holding a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Brighton and London, UK. His professional career already started in the field of circular economy which also brought him into remanufacturing. Since 2013 he is a core and remanufacturing expert.
Georgios is a Board Director of APRA Europe and he is the Head of the APRA Europe Ambassador programme. There, he also takes over the Ambassador position for Greece.
He says that he is engaged in APRA Europe because “Remanufacturing for me is a great process. What is old can be new again with many different environmental, social and economic benefits. APRA is the only global association for the reman industry, playing a major role in ongoing efforts for circular economy. This is the main reason I support APRA and I will continue to do this in the future.”

Ambassador for the BENELUX
Reinout Meijers is the head of Marketing & Product Management of Remy Group Europe, one of Europe’s leading remanufacturing companies of starters, alternators and brake calipers. He leads the company’s marketing, communication and product management activities. Reinout is a Remy veteran, joining the company in 2001. He spent the first decade of his career in the logistics and purchasing organization as a materials scheduler in Belgium, followed by a move to the company’s UK subsidiary as procurement coordinator and subsequently as European purchasing manager for remanufactured products. In 2009, Reinout transitioned to Marketing and Product Management. He has 20 years of progressive experience in the automotive aftermarket and remanufacturing industry.
Reinout is a firm believer in the transformation of the automotive aftermarket industry to return to sustainable, balanced growth and value creation.
We are happy to have him on board for improving our services and growing our network in the BENELUX region. He is also supporting as the intermediate Ambassador for France.

New Business Development Manager

Ambassador for Italy
Lorenzo Gaspari works at CPI, within the BORG Automotive Group as New Business Development Manager. His focus is on the extension of the product range, both with the introduction of new products, both of newer references. He is also taking care of the company university network.
Previously he has been a student at Politecnico di Milano and completed his thesis on remanufacturing at the Fraunhofer Institute in Bayreuth, Germany.
He states: “For me, remanufacturing, or widely the circular economy, is more than just the sector where I work or a topic I like: it is an industrial paradigm that I believe able to conjugate the environmental benefit and economic activity; two concepts that unfortunately are often seen in antheses. I believe that for the growth of the sector it is important a strong political representation, which can be achieved through an association like APRA, which I’ve joined as Ambassador to sustain and enlarge over time.”

Ambassador for Spain
Angel Cruz Abud is Global Marketing Coordinator at Robert Bosch GmbH for the Automotive Aftermarket Division in Göttingen, Germany. Angel is an educated Mechanical Engineer and holds a Master of Business and Administration from ITESM, EGADE Business School, Campus Santa Fe, Mexico City. His motivation to be an APRA Europe Ambassador is to participate actively in European initiatives related to remanufacturing processes and current regulations. In particular he wants to share with us his 15 years’ experience in the industry, working in a global leader manufacturer environment.

Ambassador for the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Lukáš Vokurka is the responsible Plant Manager Reman at Knorr-Bremse in Liberec, Czech Republic. He has been working for the company since 2011 holding also further positions like System Manager and Technical Manager. He is an experienced industry insider.
Earlier, he worked for Delphi Packard Electric as an Industrial Engineering Manager in the Czech Republic for many years. He is a graduated engineer holding a university degree.
As an APRA Europe Ambassador, Lukáš wants to increase the remanufacturing awareness in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. He is also eager to increase the remanufacturing branch as a whole in this region and to get more in touch with the people involved.

Ambassador for the DACH region
Thomas Meyer is Head of Program Management Remanufacturing at Knorr-Bremse in Germany and works in the field of remanufacturing since 2014. At Knorr-Bremse, they are constantly expanding their portfolio of remanufactured products for the EMEA region. Before that, he worked as a Production Engineer at Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey GmbH. He graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen.
“Remanufacturing is a very promising industry, as it perfectly combines the environmental challenges we are facing right now with great business opportunities. Since working in this area I truly understand the importance of circular economy. That’s also why I like being dedicated to APRA: as the global organization for the remanufacturing industry it can drive change – and I want to support that.”

Ambassador for Hungary
Tamás Orosz is CEO of ARAGO Green Technologies Ltd., a greenfield investment which has been established in Hungary with a purpose of showing a new perspective in the automotive remanufacturing by using highly innovative, state of the art technologies and to offer a uniquely complex range of products. The management has been setting up a huge, modern and environmentally friendly manufacturing complex, which is aiming to play a significant role from its September 2021 inauguration in helping to raise remanufacturing to a new level.
Tamás holds a degree in mechanical engineering and has experience of 15 years (10 in management) in the remanufacturing industry.
As an exceptionally committed professional, he believes that automotive remanufacturing is not an option anymore but rather a must-do activity towards achieving a sustainable future.
For him it is an honour to act as the Hungarian Ambassador. He says that “this provides numerous opportunities to help the remanufacturing industry even more, and therefore support the sustainable future itself.”
