We are delighted to invite you to the first ZEvRA Automotive Strategy & Innovation Forum: Setting the course for a growing Circular Materials Demand!

·   Date: 8 April 2025

·   Time: 13:00 – 15:00

·   Location: REMATEC, Conference Room F002, Amsterdam rai, and online

The demand for materials from the circular economy will rise sharply in the coming years. Recycling has indisputable economic advantages in terms of material and CO2 costs and is also increasingly required by legal requirements. The recycling rate in the EU is set to rise from 11.8% in 2023 to 23.3% in 2030. Remanufacturing, as the highest form of recycling, will play its part in this and therefore also experience increasing demand.

The ZEvRA project improves the circularity of light-duty electric vehicles through the entire supply chain. In eight use cases, numerous innovations are being developed to increase circularity in e-vehicle production. Remanufacturing expertise is essential to meet the demand for materials for ZEvRA innovations and established circular economy processes and products. In this forum, we will collect and discuss challenges and solutions to increase circular material flows in areas such as source exploration, collection and reverse logistics. The results of the forum will flow directly into recommendations for action for policymakers, industry and other stakeholders.

Agenda

·   13:00 Presentation of the ZEvRA project

·   13:30 Part 1: Barriers to Circular Materials: Understanding the Roadblocks

·   14:00 Coffee & Refreshments

·   14:30 Part 2: Overcoming Barriers: How to drive Material Circularity

·   15:00 Wrap-Up & Discussion

In this forum we will begin with an introduction to the ZEvRA project, followed by an in-depth discussion on identifying key barriers to material circularity. After a networking break, participants will engage in a solution-oriented session, exploring strategies to overcome these barriers and drive material circularity in the automotive sector. The forum will conclude with a wrap-up discussion, providing a platform to exchange insights and reflect on the key takeaways.

We look forward to seeing you in Amsterdam or online!
